Marry a man for money if you can. Especially if, like 34-year-old Thomas, you lost your job and boyfriend in the crash of 2008. But Mike, the young Irishman he meets on the Barcelona airport bus, his pockets taped up in fear of pickpockets, is in the same dire straits as Thomas. A few weeks later, despite their seeming made for each other, they agree to break off their relationship. But Thomas soon finds that in abandoning Mike he has also cast himself adrift - thrown himself down from a high place. Can any man or angel break his fall before he hits the ground? Tibidabo Gay Romance Anthony McDonald Books
Very surprising to me, this book of Anthony McDonald didn't grab me -- at all. Anthony is such a very fine writer of gay romance, but this one seemed amiss. Through some not terribly odd circumstances, a experienced gay man and an inexperienced (didn't know he was) younger one, are brought together via happenstance and two-directional feelings of obligation, and they immediately begin a sexual relationship. Soon it's known that the young fellow must soon return home to care for his parents. The sexual activity is regular with some positive personal feelings developing on both sides. The sex seems okay but routine--attachment seems more "liking" than "loving." The wonderfully delicious of developing love with the lust (about which Anthony can write so very, very well) is essentially missing. So when the anticipated parting does take place, the subsequent expressions of angst and anguish just seem artificial (unrealistic) to me, and I can never get emotionally connected with the rest of story.I surely would not recommend this book as any beginning to enjoy Anthony's gifts--read "Tartan," "Garda" and/or "Majorca" instead (or at first).

Tibidabo Gay Romance Anthony McDonald Books Reviews
good but nothing like Adam o Blue Sky Adam;
The whole Gay Romance series merits five stars in my opinion.
As Anthony McDonald tells the story of Mike and Tom I just wonder at the depth and development of Anthony's ability to make you fall in love with them.
Wonderfully written.
I love mr McDonald's stories, and have read most of them. This one left me wanting, though I'm not really certain why. Characters were great. I was rooting for Rolando I guess. Thanks again Anthony!
