I was expecting a little more content given the cost. The information is useful, but very rudimentary level.
This book is perfect for a beginner. Clear,easy to understand language even for my older father. This company has many other sugaring products for sale and I have purchased many and have been very satisfied with the quality.

My parents used to make maple sugar and my children loved to go to visit and help them. I wanted to carry the tradition on for my grandchildren but did not know a great deal about where, when and how. I got the book and felt comfortable enough to take my Dad's equipment, tap the trees on my boulevard and make some maple syrup. Next spring I will have my grandson help me. I can't wait!
I got this book about 3 years ago and find it very informative with excellent, clear instructions on making maple syrup. While our tree was unproductive the first couple of years, this past year we again referred to this book to tap our tree and were successful! The tree finally gave us some sap and we made syrup which is delicious. This is a wonderful resource if you have maple trees and I would definitely recommend it - fun for the whole family and a great late-winter project as you anticipate spring.
